Our Lakes

Hintlesham Fisheries boasts four distinct lakes, each offering unique fishing experiences. The specimen lake is home to over 250 fish, including a notable 35.8lb mirror carp. Anglers can also find five carp weighing over 30lb and more than 30 carp exceeding 20lb. The traditional lake has recently been restocked with 20 carp ranging from 15lb to 24lb, complemented by tench reaching 10lb and roach and rudd up to 2lb, making it ideal for all-round fishing.

Fish Species

At Hintlesham Fisheries, a variety of species can be targeted. The predator lake features catfish that can grow up to 70lb, with a stock of 30 to 40 fish known for their strong fights. Pike are also present, reaching up to 25lb, alongside carp up to 27lb. The match lake surprises anglers with a diverse range, including hard-fighting C3 carp and tench up to 10lb. The current match lake record stands at a total catch of 248lb by our bailiff Jack last summer.
