Turnford Complex - Marsh Pit offers a unique fishing experience with its network of islands, arms, and reed-lined bays. One end features overgrown platforms extending into fishable areas, while the other side has swims cut into the bank growth. The pit is generally shallow, providing ample spots for anglers to cast their lines.
Fish Species
The pit is home to a variety of fish, including carp that can reach up to 40 lb and pike up to 31 lb. Rudd and tench are abundant, with rudd easily found throughout the area. Tench, being more discerning, thrive in the shallow waters with extensive weed growth, offering rewarding catches of around 8 lb. Bream, roach, and perch are also present, adding to the diversity available for anglers. Even in winter, there are opportunities for good catches.
