The Lakes
Hawstead Fishing Lakes, situated near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, comprises two well-maintained lakes: Willow and Spring Head Lake. Willow Lake is the larger of the two, covering approximately 2.7 acres and conveniently located next to the car park. Spring Head Lake, though smaller at under an acre, offers a more intimate fishing experience.
Fish Variety
Anglers at Hawstead Fishing Lakes can enjoy a diverse range of coarse fish. Willow Lake is home to common and mirror carp weighing up to 33lb, as well as tench reaching up to 5lb. Additionally, you can find specimen perch, rudd, bream, and roach in its waters. Spring Head Lake complements this variety with Crucian carp and tench, providing ample opportunities for a rewarding catch.
