Teakettle Fisheries is conveniently located close to Peterborough and Whittlesey in Cambridgeshire, offering excellent access routes from across the county. This carp fishery features two adjacent lakes, Whittle Mere and Thorney Mere, both accessible with a single syndicate ticket.

Facilities and Features

Whittle Mere covers 20 acres and includes 21 well-appointed swims, providing ample opportunities for anglers. Since its management began in 2013, extensive landscaping has enhanced its appeal. Thorney Mere, spanning 10 acres, is nestled beside Whittle Mere and maintains a more natural setting with mature trees and abundant vegetation. It boasts 16 strategically placed swims, kept as natural as possible to support a thriving carp population.

Carp Stock and Records

The lakes at Teakettle Fisheries are home to a healthy stock of carp, with Whittle Mere holding approximately 300 fish averaging between 20lb and 22lb. Notable catches include several carp over 30lb, with the lake record reaching an impressive 44lb 7oz. Thorney Mere has been recently stocked with an additional 130 carp, supplementing its original population of around 50 fish, and has seen mirrors up to 37lb caught during test fishing sessions.
