Lakes

Rookery Waters boasts five distinct lakes, each offering its own fishing charm. ROOK, the original lake from 2001, serves as a water storage reservoir with a flat bottom reaching four metres deep. MAGPIE, created in 2003, features an irregular shape and is home to two islands, enhancing its appeal. JAY, established in 2006, is designed specifically for pole fishing, featuring a consistent width and a continuous loop shape. JACKDAW, added in 2014, includes five pegs and is stocked with silver fish up to five pounds. The newest addition, RAVEN, is a 30-peg canal-style lake, providing ample opportunities for anglers.

Accessibility is a key feature at Rookery Waters. The fishery offers disabled access and facilities to ensure everyone can enjoy their visit comfortably. Clean toilets are available on-site, and parking spaces are conveniently located directly behind each fishing spot at Raven Lake. For those new to fishing, assistance is readily available to help beginners get started.

Fish Species

Anglers at Rookery Waters can target a variety of fish. Carp are available, with some specimens reaching up to 20 lb, while tench can be caught up to 10 lb. Additionally, Raven Lake is stocked with brown gold fish, each weighing up to four pounds, providing diverse options for a successful fishing outing.
