Getting Here

Dodford Lake is located in Christian Malford, Swindon, Wiltshire. From junction 17 on the M4, take the B4122 to the junction of the B4069 marked for Christian Malford. Continue along Main Road (B4069) through Upper Town, then turn left onto Dodford Lane. Follow the signs to the lake through the picturesque countryside.

Fishing

Whether you're a seasoned angler or just starting out, Dodford Lake offers a pleasant fishing experience. In the summer months, margin fishing or using surface baits are popular choices. As the weather cools, fishing at depths of 8m on the bottom becomes more effective. Anglers can use pellets, paste, bread, sweetcorn, or meat baits to attract roach and bream.

Tickets and Staff

Day tickets are available for purchase directly from the bailiff stationed on the bank, who makes regular checks throughout the day. The presence of bailiffs and staff ensures a well-managed and enjoyable fishing environment. Please remember that barbed hooks are banned at all times to promote safe and responsible fishing practices. For any inquiries, it's best to contact Dodford Lake by phone due to the rural location's limited internet access.
