Bowood Lake in Wiltshire offers a tranquil setting for anglers. Set in parkland landscaped by Capability Brown, the private lake welcomes up to fifty season permit holders between 16 June and 14 March.

Fishing Permits

With a limited number of season permits available, enthusiasts can enjoy exclusive access to the lake. This ensures a peaceful experience, allowing anglers to fully appreciate both the sport and the picturesque surroundings.

Twenty-four fishing stages are thoughtfully placed in serene locations around Bowood Lake. Each stage provides a unique vantage point, enhancing the fishing experience amidst the beautiful environment.

Fish Species

Bowood Lake is teeming with a variety of species, including Pike, Bream, Roach, Tench, Golden Rudd, Perch, and Trout. The lake is also stocked with Rainbow Trout and there is an occasional introduction of Brown Trout. All fish must be returned to the water, promoting sustainable fishing practices. Re-stocking takes place as necessary during the season until mid-September.
