Anglers at Waterloo Lake can target a range of species. Bream are the primary focus, with some specimens reaching up to 7 lb. The lake is also home to carp and pike, both capable of growing up to 20 lb. Additionally, roach and tench provide good catches, while perch and chub are present in smaller sizes.

Waterloo Lake experiences significant foot traffic, especially near the cafe, which can interrupt your fishing. Weekends and school holidays tend to be busier, with park users and their dogs frequently passing by. For a more peaceful fishing experience, consider visiting during quieter times.
