Fishing Opportunities

The lagoon is renowned for its impressive stock of specimen fish, particularly targeted by carp anglers seeking large heads exceeding 30lbs. In addition to carp, anglers can also find robust numbers of bream up to 10lbs, tench reaching over 8lbs, as well as roach, perch, and pike. This variety ensures that Kirklees Lagoon caters to a wide range of fishing preferences, providing both challenge and excitement.

Bradford No1 AA members have exclusive access to fishing at Kirklees Lagoon. The club offers various membership options, including privileges for night fishing. Night fishing is permitted for a limited number of members who obtain a night permit, which also grants access to Knotford Lagoon. Additionally, the venue is equipped with disabled access and facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all anglers.
