Birkwood fisheries

Key Information
Our Lakes
Birkwood Fisheries features four distinct lakes, each offering a unique fishing experience. The Main Lake, established in 1996, covers three acres and is home to Carp up to 25lb, as well as Bream, Roach, Rudd, Tench, and Gudgeon. Frog Hall Lake, with over a century of history, accommodates up to ten anglers and houses Carp reaching 27lb. Emily’s Lakes, built in 2004 and often called Snake Lake, provide a canal-style fishing environment with Carp up to 8lb and opportunities for match weights exceeding 100lb during the summer months. Oscar’s Lakes, also opened in 2005, is smaller with 31 pegs and regularly sees Carp between 50-100lb during six-hour matches.
Fishing Experience
With over 100 fishing stations, Birkwood Fisheries caters to both day anglers and those interested in match fishing. The Main Lake is the most popular spot, so arriving early is recommended to secure a peg. Match bookings are available year-round, with specific days reserved for Sundays at the Main Lake and other days for Emily’s and Oscar’s Lakes, excluding Mondays. Each lake offers different styles of fishing, ensuring a varied and engaging experience throughout the year.
