At Ifield Lake, bird enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of species. Coots, mute swans, grey wagtails, and several types of ducks frequent the pond. During winter, different ducks visit the area, and on rare occasions, you might catch sight of kingfishers, herons, or water rail.

Fishing Information

Fishing is available every day from 7.30 am until sunset, except on days when the council has restricted access or the area is closed. To fish here, ensure you have a current rod licence from the Environment Agency, which can be obtained online or from your local post office.

Surroundings

Ifield Mill Pond is embraced by extensive recreational grasslands, offering plenty of space for outdoor activities. Along the pond’s edges and southeast along Dowster Brook, patches of woodland add a touch of greenery, creating a pleasant environment for both anglers and nature lovers.
