Lakes

Makins Fishery features five distinct lakes, each offering unique angling experiences. Lake No.1 is the largest, just under 5 acres, with 53 pegs stocked with carp up to 30 lb and bream up to 5 lb. Lakes 2A and 2B, covering three and a half acres with 45 pegs each, are premium match lakes capable of producing match weights over 200 lb. Lake No.3 is a smaller 1.5-acre lake with 20 pegs, ideal for consistent catches year-round. Lake No.4, one of the deepest, has 30 pegs and features a tiny island. Lake No.5 spans 2.5 acres with 54 pegs, easily accessible from the main parking area.

Makins Fishery ensures a comfortable experience for all visitors with disabled access and facilities. Ample parking is available, and day ticket access allows for easy entry. Throughout the venue, bailiffs and staff members are present to maintain security and offer assistance. Beginners will find helpful support to ease into their angling activities.
