Fishing Experience
Since its establishment in 2003, Thorpe Lea has been home to 2,500 prime carp, initially stocked from British Waterways' bagging Mecca, Drayton Reservoir. The carp population continues to grow, with 27 fish over 30lb already reported and one in three anglers catching carp exceeding 20lb. A variety of fishing methods, including bottom baits, floaters, and fly fishing, ensure non-stop action and impressive hauls.
Night Fishing
For those seeking a different fishing experience, Thorpe Lea offers night fishing since 2007. Fishing under the stars brings a unique challenge, adding an extra layer of excitement to your angling pursuits. Just remember, landing a big carp might keep you awake longer than expected!
