Johnson's Pit welcomes anglers of all abilities with its flat surroundings, making it particularly suitable for disabled visitors. The lake features several swims equipped with safety bars at the front, ensuring a secure fishing experience for everyone.
Parking
Visitors have access to four parking areas. Two spaces are designated for disabled badges and are conveniently located near the first swims. The additional parking spots can be found inside the gate on the right, directly ahead upon entry, and at the end of the entrance road to the left—the largest area. A fourth car park is accessible via Marsh Farm, providing easy entry to the far side of the lake. Please remember that parking in the swims is not allowed.
Membership and Tickets
Owned by the club since September 1986, Johnson's Pit has a rich history of providing excellent fishing opportunities. Club memberships grant access to this private 21-acre lake, while day tickets were introduced in August 2004. Known for its exceptional carp fishing, the fishery boasts species that grow into impressive specimens, with carp reaching up to 7 lb and tench up to 3 lb. Whether you're a seasoned angler or visiting with a day ticket, Johnson's Pit offers a rewarding fishing experience.
