The Lakes

Halliford Mere Lakes & Pavilion in Surrey features four spring-fed lakes tailored to different fishing styles. Lakes 1, 2, and 3 are exclusively for fly fishing trout, each offering unique characteristics. Lake 1 is the largest and deepest, spanning around five acres with depths ranging from 4 to 20 feet. Lake 2 covers one acre, reaching depths of up to 11 feet, making it the smallest of the trout lakes. Lake 3 provides the most bank space, filled with small bays and channels that extend up to twelve feet in some areas.

Stocking Schedule

The fishery conducts stocking approximately every five weeks, ensuring a steady supply of high-quality, fully finned rainbow and brown trout. This regular stocking schedule helps maintain vibrant and active fishing conditions, allowing anglers to enjoy consistent opportunities throughout the season.

Fish Present

In addition to trout, Lake 4 is designated for predators, including pike, perch, and eels.
