Spa Ponds offers excellent opportunities for anglers seeking substantial catches. The lake hosts carp up to 30 lb, providing a challenging target for those aiming to land a hefty specimen. Pike fishing is particularly rewarding in the winter months, with pike exceeding 20 lb available. Additionally, the ponds contain chub weighing over 6 lb and roach up to 3 lb, catering to a range of fishing interests.

Getting Here

Located within the grounds of Bath Spa University, Spa Ponds is accessible from Bath via the A4 towards Bristol. At the Globe Inn roundabout, take the A39 towards Marksbury, then immediately turn left into the College grounds. Follow the road to the car park on the left, which is clearly signposted. Access to the lake is directly opposite the car park; please ensure you stay on the designated footpaths for a safe visit.

A designated parking area is available on the left side of the road, providing convenient access to the fishing area.
