History

Maunsel Ponds has been a favourite among anglers since the late 1940s. Established around 1948 by the Taunton Angling Association, it now caters to over 900 members. This enduring community highlights the pond's consistent appeal in Somerset.

Fishing Types

Whether you prefer match fishing, carp fishing or pike fishing, Maunsel Ponds offers options to suit your angling interests. Stretching along 6 miles of the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal, the venue is renowned for producing sizeable nets of bream and impressive specimens of carp and pike. Anglers often record pleasure nets reaching up to 40lbs.
