The Lakes
Green Park Fishing Lake, managed by Hamgreen Fisheries of the Hamgreen Fishing Club, comprises two serene lakes set in the peaceful surroundings of Somerset. The bottom lake hosts carp up to 20lb and pike up to 14lb, while the top lake offers larger carp up to 34lb and pike reaching 18lb, alongside some orf up to 5lb. Both lakes are home to additional species including tench, bream, roach, rudd, eel, and perch.
Fish Species
Anglers can expect a variety of fish species at Green Park Fishing Lake. The top lake is notable for its sizeable carp, with some specimens weighing up to 34lb. Pike here can grow as large as 18lb. Besides these, both lakes are populated with bream, tench, roach, rudd, eel, and perch, providing diverse fishing opportunities throughout the day.
Practical Information
The lakes are open from dawn till dusk, with the best fishing times being early morning and late evening. Parking is limited to designated areas only, with a large parking lot available at the top lake. Visitors must hold a full rod license while fishing and are restricted to using small quantities of ground bait. Each angler is permitted a maximum of two rods. Club memberships are available through Hamgreen Fisheries for those interested in extended access.
