Spanning 130 acres, Clatworthy Reservoir is home to rainbow and brown trout, with specimens reaching up to 16lb 10oz. The south bank is renowned as the prime fishing area, while the seven water inlets offer excellent spots for casting. Whether you prefer using nymphs for top-water action or sinking lines and flashing lures in deeper waters, there's a technique to suit your style. In 2011, anglers caught an average of 2.9 fish each, with a total of 9,449 during the season. Notably, the record rainbow trout weighed 16lb 10oz, caught in 1998, and the largest brown trout reached 8lb 2oz in 1994.
