Walcot East Lake

Key Information
History
Walcot East Lake, covering 20 acres in Shropshire, was originally dug out in the 1700s. For the past thirty years, it has been managed as match waters. During this time, the fishing environment shifted as cormorants impacted smaller fish, leaving the lake home to larger carp. In 2012, the lake underwent a transformation, focusing on restocking with resilient carp that have flourished over the years.
Fish Species
Anglers at Walcot East Lake can pursue carp weighing up to 20 lb and tench reaching up to 10 lb. The lake's shallow and rich waters provide a challenging yet rewarding experience for members looking to catch sizeable specimens.
