Fishing Lakes

Hackett Lakes at Holme Pierrepont offers anglers access to two distinct fishing lakes. Lake 1 is the smaller of the pair, serving as an ideal match lake. It was stocked in 2005 with Carp reaching up to 20 lb. The reeds here are home to Perch, Chub, and Roach, while Tench prefer the deeper waters near the bottom. Lake 2, the larger lake, also received Carp up to 20 lb in the same year. It is renowned for providing some of the best fishing experiences in Nottingham. During the summer months, Perch, Chub, and Roach are commonly found in the reeds, but as the water cools in winter, these species move to deeper pools.

Fish Variety

Anglers visiting Hackett Lakes can expect a good variety of fish. Carp are the standout species, with specimens weighing up to 20 lb available in both lakes. In addition to Carp, the lakes are populated with Chub, Perch, Roach, and Tench. Each species offers a unique fishing experience, catering to different preferences and techniques.
