Bleasby Lake in Nottinghamshire features approximately 470 yards of river set in a picturesque environment. Anglers will encounter Chub and Roach, common species found along the Trent. The tranquil waters provide a familiar setting for those accustomed to the river's diverse fish population.
To reach Bleasby Lake, start at Lowdham Roundabout and take the A612 towards Southwell for about 2½ miles. In Thurgarton Village, make a right onto Bleasby Road and continue for just under a mile. At the sharp right bend into Station Road, proceed for over a mile to the crossroads, then head straight into Boat Lane. Follow Boat Lane for 600 yards, where you’ll find parking at the end of the lane. Access the water by walking 200 yards upstream from the end of the caravan site.
Bleasby Lake offers day ticket access for a full day of fishing. For those looking to stay longer, caravanning facilities are available on-site. Please note that fishing is not permitted during the closed season from 15th March to 15th June, and night fishing is not allowed.
