Members can enjoy exclusive access to three miles of the River Rede, a picturesque tributary of the North Tyne. Situated on both sides of the A68 bridge at West Woodburn in Northumberland, this stretch offers a serene setting for dedicated anglers. Whether you're navigating through tumbling rapids or enjoying the smooth glides, the River Rede provides a varied and engaging fishing experience.

Fishing Features

The River Rede boasts numerous named pools, including the Ingram, Bridge, and Tarzan pools, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for anglers. The combination of rapids and glides ensures that every fishing session is both challenging and rewarding. From June onwards, anglers can look forward to excellent runs of salmon and sea trout, adding excitement to the fishing season.

Fish Species

Fishing enthusiasts will find a healthy population of brown trout, with some specimens reaching up to 3.5 pounds. Additionally, the river is renowned for its salmon and sea trout runs starting in June. For those keen on trout fishing, the club conducts an annual stocking of brown trout ranging from 11 to 13 inches, contingent upon DEFRA permissions and suitable river conditions.
