Allen Valley Angling and Conservation

Key Information
History
Established in July 2011 by Paul Frear, Allen Valley Angling & Conservation (AVAC) has been nurturing the River East Allen's fishing potential in Allendale, Northumberland. Paul, a local environmentalist and fishing enthusiast, saw the undeveloped river as a valuable resource worth preserving and improving. AVAC's mission has always been focused on sustainable fishing and habitat conservation.
Membership
AVAC offers club memberships to anglers who share a passion for fly fishing and environmental conservation. Being a member not only grants access to the River East Allen but also supports ongoing efforts to enhance the fishing environment. The organisation is not-for-profit, ensuring that fees contribute directly to maintaining and improving the fishery and riverside access.
Wildlife and Conservation
The Allen Valley is home to a variety of wildlife, with trout up to 5 lb available in the River East Allen. AVAC dedicates resources to conserving the natural habitat, ensuring a thriving ecosystem for both fish and other wildlife. Members play a vital role in these conservation efforts, making their fishing activities a part of the sustainability mission.
