Stanwick Lake Fisheries

Key Information
Overview
Stanwick Lake Fisheries in Northamptonshire boasts six mature lakes, each offering a unique fishing experience. Originally known as the Mid Northants Carp Fishery in the 1980s, it was a favourite spot for top carp anglers. Today, the complex has evolved into a scenic area surrounded by large trees, providing a tranquil setting for fishing enthusiasts.
Lakes
The main lake spans around six acres with depths from 6 to 9 feet, featuring reeds, gravel bars, and lily pads. Anglers can target impressive carp, with six known specimens over 30lb and the largest just over 39lb. Mallard Lake, now a second specimen lake, is home to numerous carp in the twenties and at least two in the thirties. Swan Lake, once a match water, has been heavily stocked and offers carp averaging between 8 and 16lb, along with some larger catches. Coot Lake, the smallest with about 12 pegs, provides a variety of fish including carp, tench, roach, rudd, crucians, and recently stocked bream up to 10lb. Car Park Lake, adjacent to the main car park, has 16 pegs with small carp, perfect for family fishing or small matches.
