Wykeham Lakes Fishery is nestled within the Dawnay Estate, on the southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Situated half a mile off the A170 between Wykeham village and West Ayton, it offers easy access for anglers exploring the picturesque Yorkshire countryside.

Lakes and Fishing

The fishery comprises four landscaped lakes, which were once gravel pits. Trout Water is regularly stocked with Rainbow, Blue, and Brown trout, providing ample opportunities for trout fishing. The other three lakes cater to various coarse fishing styles, including pleasure fishing, predator fishing, and a match lake designed to challenge both general and specialist anglers.

Visitor Information

Wykeham Lakes is open daily for walking, fishing, and for yearly permit holders. The main gate remains open from 8 am to 8 pm, ensuring plenty of time to enjoy a day out by the water. The on-site cafe operates from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays and slightly later on weekends, with the last kitchen orders taken 60 minutes before closing and pizza orders 30 minutes prior.
