Fish Species

Swimming Lake is home to over 3 tonnes of quality Carp and Tench, providing ample opportunities for anglers. The Carp here are primarily hard-fighting Common Carp, with some impressive specimens reaching over 23lb. On average, most Carp are in the low to mid double digits. Additionally, the lake hosts a variety of Tench ranging from 2lb to a healthy 8lb, as well as a small number of Mirror and Ghost Carp. Eels are also present, adding to the diverse fishing experience.

Lake Characteristics

This naturally formed, spring-fed lake spans 4 and a half acres, featuring a central island that enhances its charm. The bottom of Swimming Lake is predominantly silt, creating a smooth bed for fishing. Depths vary from as shallow as 18 inches to a maximum of 6 feet, catering to different fishing techniques and preferences. Whether you prefer casting near the shores or exploring around the island, the varied depths provide a dynamic fishing environment.
