Situated near Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire, Raskelf Pit stands out as one of Bradford No1 Angling Association's flagship waters. Spanning 4.5 acres, this pit boasts 50 permanent pegs, each offering unique fishing spots like overhanging trees and dense weed beds.

Species Available

Raskelf Pit is densely stocked, providing anglers with a variety of fish to target. The main species include carp, some reaching up to 20 lbs, tench up to 7 lbs, and bream up to 5 lbs. Additionally, anglers can find ide, crucian carp, roach, chub, and barbel. During the summer months, catches can be particularly rewarding, with nets exceeding 100 lbs.

Membership and Regulations

The fishery offers club memberships for those looking to enjoy extended access. It's important to be aware that at the railway end of the lake, rod lengths are restricted to a maximum of 4 metres due to nearby power lines. Most pegs have depths ranging from 2 to 6 feet, with certain areas reaching depths of up to 10 feet, catering to different fishing preferences.
