Location and Setting

Lockwood Beck Reservoir is situated in North Yorkshire, just five minutes north of Scaling Dam Reservoir. Covering 60 acres, it offers tranquillity amidst a stunning landscape. The reservoir is flanked by mature mixed forests on the east and west banks, providing natural cover, while the south side features expansive moorland banks for a different fishing experience.

Fishing Opportunities

Anglers have multiple options to enjoy their time at Lockwood Beck. The one and a quarter mile of bank area allows for varied fishing spots, including the dam wall on the north side. Whether you prefer casting from the shore or exploring the moorland, there's a suitable spot for every fishing style.

Fish Species

The reservoir is home to a superb native population of roach and perch, with perch reaching up to 2 lb. In November 2017, an addition of 1,500 skimmer bream, tench, and crucian carp enhanced the fishing variety. Other species such as bream and carp are also present, making Lockwood Beck a favourite destination for coarse fishing enthusiasts.
