Hemlington Lake offers accessible amenities for all visitors. With dedicated disabled access and facilities, anglers can comfortably enjoy their time by the water. The recent addition of new platforms by the Environment Agency provides enhanced fishing spots, making it easier to cast your line and relax.

Fishing

Spanning 39 acres of parkland, Hemlington Lake is home to a variety of fish species including carp, crucians, bream, rudd, roach, perch, and ghost carp. Over the past three years, the lake has seen significant improvements such as the installation of floating islands with artificial reefs beneath, and the addition of 30 new fishing platforms. These enhancements have enriched the fishing experience, offering anglers more opportunities to find their perfect catch.

Wildlife

The lake is surrounded by carefully maintained wildlife and conservation areas, providing a thriving habitat for various species. A new wildlife habitat has been created, supporting the local ecosystem and offering visitors a chance to observe nature while enjoying their fishing activities. The newly constructed footpath and footbridge around Hemlington Lake further enhance the natural beauty of the area, making it a peaceful retreat for both anglers and nature enthusiasts.
