Fewston Reservoir

Overview

Fewston Reservoir, alongside its nearby Swinsty Reservoir, offers anglers the opportunity to fish for rainbow trout and wild brown trout. Managed by Yorkshire Water, each reservoir covers approximately 150 acres, providing ample space for bank fishing only. Located just off the A59 between Harrogate and Skipton, Fewston Reservoir is easily accessible for visitors from the surrounding areas.

Access and Tickets

Obtaining a day ticket is straightforward. Tickets can be purchased at the fishery office situated on the south end of Fewston dam wall, which is clearly signposted from the A59 near Blubberhouses. The fishing season typically kicks off around the end of March, marking a special time when catches of up to 30-40 trout are not uncommon.
