Claxton Pond YDAA

Claxton Pond YDAA is an old clay pit spanning between one and two acres, situated close to the village of Claxton in North Yorkshire, approximately seven miles north-east of York.
Surroundings
Surrounded by a small patch of woodland, the pond remains very sheltered from the elements. In the summer, visitors will notice lush lilies blooming across the water's surface, adding to the pond's natural charm.
Fish Species
Anglers can find a variety of fish at Claxton Pond YDAA, including bream, tench, roach, and perch. The pond is home to some large carp and boasts a good head of pike, offering exciting catches for fishing enthusiasts. The current state of the crucian carp population, which was present in the 1980s, remains unknown.
