Burn Road Pond is a small fishing spot in North Yorkshire, near the village of Burn and the town of Selby. Covering less than an acre, the pond is shallow, with depths up to 5-6 feet. In summer, patches of margin lilies grace the water's edges.
At Burn Road Pond, anglers can find roach, bream, tench, perch, and pike, with some pike reaching double figures. The shallow water means a waggler rod or pole is usually sufficient. Roach are often caught using maggot and caster, with larger specimens responding well to caster. Bream and tench take maggot, caster, worm, and corn, and both species respond to moderate groundbaiting.
The pond offers disabled access and facilities, making it accessible for everyone. Many anglers use the solid fishing platforms available around the pond.
