Smaller Lake

The smaller of the two lakes at Birkin Fisheries Tea Room features a double island and 13 pegs extending approximately one foot into the water. It has a depth of around three to four feet in the centre, with reeds lining the edges. A four-foot high bank surrounds the lake, providing some protection against the wind.

Larger Lake

The larger lake accommodates 53 pegs arranged around a central island. The area from the bank to the middle measures about twelve to fourteen feet, suitable for anglers using poles. The depth varies from three to five feet across the lake.

Fish Species

Both lakes are home to various species including Perch, Roach, Tench, Carp, and Golden Orf/Rudd, offering a range of fishing opportunities.
