Overview

Situated in the picturesque Waveney Valley of South-Norfolk, Airfield Lakes offers anglers a unique fishing experience on private property. Adjacent to an old WWII airfield, the site occasionally hosts vintage aircraft exhibitions, adding a touch of history to your visit.

Lakes and Stocking

The fishery comprises two distinct lakes: Spitfire Pool and Mustang. Spitfire, the older of the two, was excavated in 2008 and is renowned for holding the record carp weighing 48 lb 4 oz. This lake also harbours some elusive carp yet to be caught, enhancing its intriguing reputation. Mustang is a newer addition, specifically designed for fishing enthusiasts with over 200 high-quality carp hand-picked to ensure a rewarding angling experience.

Facilities and Management

Airfield Lakes prides itself on its attentive management, overseen by Richard Wilby and his family. The presence of bailiffs and staff ensures a well-regulated and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Whether you're a seasoned angler or new to carp fishing, the dedicated team is on hand to provide support and maintain the fishery's standards.
