Fishing Opportunities

Offord Weirpool on the River Colne offers anglers a variety of species to target. You can expect mixed bags containing roach, dace, bleak, perch, and chub. The area stretches from the Tiger Cubs Indian restaurant on Oxford Road just outside Uxbridge town centre to the weir at the A40 Western Avenue bridge, providing over a quarter of a mile of single bank fishing. Notable catches include bream up to 5lb and tench reaching 4lb. In the "Chubby" sections, chub up to 6lb have been reported, and the shallower areas have yielded fish nearing 6lb.

Special Highlights

For those targeting larger species, barbel can be found just south of the weir, with an impressive specimen of 9lb recorded. The weir pool directly south of the A40 bridge is a prime spot for pike fishing, where anglers have caught pike up to 20lb, along with numerous jacks and a few doubles.

Parking

Parking is conveniently located next to the Tiger Cubs Restaurant and is accessed through combination-locked gates. It’s important to note that parking and fishing are strictly prohibited on the bankside area near the Anoopam Mission and within the pedestrian gate beside it.
