Birchmere Lake

Birchmere Lake, owned by the Thamesmead Angling Club, is located in south-east London. Spanning approximately 11 acres, it offers a reliable venue for anglers in the region.

Fish Species

Anglers at Birchmere Lake can expect a variety of fish. The lake is renowned for carp, with some individuals exceeding 30lb. Pike are also a highlight, with a record catch of 41lb. Moreover, the lake is home to perch, roach, bream, and tench, the latter reaching up to 8lb.

Rules

To preserve the fishing environment, certain regulations are in effect. The use of live bait and fixed leads is prohibited, and a 12lb minimum main line must be used. Additionally, barbed hooks are not allowed.
