Ponds

Willow Bank, part of the Laughton Ponds in Lincolnshire, features two active ponds since the Moat Pond is currently closed. The Barometer Pond offers 30 pegs, many of which are easily accessible with peg-side parking available when the weather allows. This pond is divided into a Bowl end and a long, narrow straight, each presenting different fishing experiences. The Foot Pond, accessible by car, has 10 pegs nestled among steep banks and ample tree cover, creating a secluded fishing spot.

Fishing Spots

At the Barometer Pond, anglers can enjoy fishing the Bowl where species such as skimmer bream, roach, perch, rudd, and carp are commonly found. During the summer, carp are often attracted to floating baits like bread and biscuit. The straight offers a bit more challenge, with chubb, tench, barbel, and koi present near the rush beds. Pegs 21 to 25 in the straight are known for recording some of the best carp weights. Meanwhile, the Foot Pond is home to tench, barbel, perch up to 2 lb 8 oz, rudd up to 2 lb, skimmers, and carp mirroring commons.
