Olsten Trout

Key Information
History
Olsten Trout Farm has been a part of Lincolnshire since 1982. It began as a cage rearing unit in gravel pits and soon expanded to a river system on the edge of the Lincolnshire Woods. In March 2000, the farm grew further by adding a second site along the same river, allowing for larger pond facilities.
Water Quality
The farm benefits from water of exceptional quality, maintaining a steady temperature of 9.5°C year-round. This consistent temperature supports continuous growth for the trout while preventing diseases related to high temperatures.
Fish Variety
Olsten Trout Farm offers a range of trout species, including brown, rainbow, and brook trout, catering to both private customers and large organisations. Additionally, the farm has recently expanded its offerings to include a variety of coarse fish from its ponds, providing more options for anglers.
