Elton Reservoir provides three distinct pools for anglers to enjoy. Tomo's Pool boasts an irregular shape with an island and 16 pegs, home to Carp up to 28lb, Tench, Barbel, Chub, Roach, Rudd, and Crucians. Pool One is tailored for coaching and is perfect for 'lads and dads', featuring a large head of silver fish and small carp. Meanwhile, Pool Two serves as a match lake with 40 pegs, offering carp up to 3lb, Ide, Skimmer Bream, Roach, and Rudd. Each pool has varying depths and accommodates different bait preferences, ensuring a suitable spot for every fishing style.

Assistance and Access

Accessibility is a key feature at Elton Reservoir, with all pegs being disabled friendly and easily reachable by paths. Day tickets provide access to all pools, making it simple to plan your visit. For those new to fishing, lessons and tuition are available, providing guidance and support to help you get started. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your techniques, assistance is readily available to enhance your angling experience.

Elton Reservoir is home to a wide variety of fish, including Barbel, Bream, Carp, Chub, Roach, Rudd, and Tench. The reservoir’s diverse species ensure that there’s something for every angler. From the robust Carp in Tomo's Pool to the smaller carp in Pool One and Pool Two, anglers have plenty of opportunities to catch their desired species. Using the recommended baits such as chopped worm, caster, pellet, and sweetcorn can increase your chances of a successful catch.
