The Horns Dam fishing lake has been a favourite spot for anglers in Lancashire for many years. Home to Carp and other coarse species, anglers can expect to encounter Bream, Roach, Tench, Perch, Rudd, and Carp weighing up to 29lb. The main lake spans around four acres and features a small island, providing diverse areas to cast your line. With a prolific Carp stock, it's not uncommon to catch up to 40 fish in a single session. While most Carp range between 6 and 10 pounds, larger specimens are regularly on offer, with the lake record nearing 30lb.

Beyond fishing, The Horns Dam is a certified Caravan site, accommodating 13+ touring vans. Visitors have access to essential amenities, including showers and toilets, ensuring a comfortable stay. For those looking to venture further, the Trafford Centre in Manchester and the Lake District in Cumbria are both about an hour's drive away. Additionally, Something Fishy Angling Centre is just 35 minutes away, where you can purchase bait for your fishing trip.
