Restoration

Cliviger Bottom Pond has come a long way from its days of overgrowth and silt buildup due to opencast mining on Heald Moor. Removing 30,000 tons of silt was no small feat, but it paved the way for new pathways and the construction of 38 fishing platforms. Today, the ponds are accessible and welcoming, offering a refreshed environment for anglers.
