Bird Lake is particularly notable, housing over 700 carp that vary from single specimens to those in the low 20s. Among these, three remarkable carp have been recorded at the 40 lb mark, attracting anglers keen on landing a hefty catch. Additionally, tench are present, with individuals weighing up to 9 lb, offering variety for those looking to diversify their catches.

Access and Tickets

Gaining access to The Ham Road Complex requires a bit of effort, as the lakes are not the easiest to reach. However, for dedicated anglers, the productive waters make the journey worthwhile. Currently, single tickets are sold out, but gold tickets remain available for those planning their visits. It's important to note that while there is no closed season, swim and lake closures are common during the spawning period, so it's wise to check ahead before heading out.
