Stour Farm Fishery

Key Information
Fishing Opportunities
At Stour Farm Fishery, anglers can enjoy a robust selection of carp and tench. The lake is stocked with seven impressive carp each weighing over 30lb, alongside more than 150 in the 20lb range. If you’re aiming for a hefty catch, keep an eye out for the tench, with the standout being a 13lb 3oz monster. The carp here are growing rapidly, so it won’t be long before the first forty-pounder makes its appearance.
Lake Features
Spanning around 20 acres, Stour Lake was created in the late 1960s by Mid Kent Fisheries. The lake is dotted with gravel bars, islands, and reed-fringed margins, offering diverse fishing spots and habitats for the fish. These natural features not only enhance the fishing experience but also contribute to the dynamic environment of the lake.
Visitor Information
When planning your visit, please remember not to use the Chartham Angling Club car park. Instead, park on the left where indicated and always lock the gate behind you. Driving around the lake is prohibited to preserve its tranquillity. Non-fishing guests are welcome, except for partners, and dogs are allowed provided they remain under control. Following these guidelines ensures a pleasant visit for everyone.
