The shallow sections reach up to two feet, while the gully plunges to between six and eight feet, offering varied fishing spots for enthusiasts. Fish Species
The lake boasts a diverse range of species. Bream can be caught weighing up to 17lb, while carp are impressive, with some specimens reaching 38lb. Pike are also present, with weights up to 25lb, and tench can grow up to 12lb. Anglers often find themselves netting substantial amounts in a single session, reflecting the healthy fish populations.
Access and Membership
Handle Lake is accessible via day tickets or as part of the Gold Ticket package, which requires a key for entry. Club memberships are available for those who frequent the lake, providing flexibility for both occasional and regular visitors. Please note that bait boats are restricted to ensure a fair fishing environment, and any regulations violations should be reported to the fisheries manager.
