Angling Experience

Cottington Lakes in Kent provides a variety of angling opportunities across eight lakes, catering to everyone from beginners to experienced carp fishermen. The venue is known for its day-ticket access, making it a convenient option for those looking to enjoy a day by the water.

Our Lakes

Lake Pepper was one of the first purpose-built lakes, starting as a trout pond before opening to carp anglers in 2003 and expanding in 2007. It divides into Old Pepper with mature reed beds and New Pepper, which has deeper waters and three islands. Here, anglers can find carp up to 51 lb 12 oz, as well as other species like trout. Lake Christine, at three-and-a-half acres, remains unhurried with a limit of six fishermen at a time, offering various bays and islands for fishing. It hosts common and mirror carp up to 30 lb, alongside grass carp. Windsor Lake, a 30-peg area opened in 2005, attracts day-ticket anglers with species such as tench, perch, roach, and rudd.

At Cottington Lakes, visitors benefit from disabled access and facilities, ensuring accessibility for all. Parking is available for those arriving by car, and clean toilets are located on-site. The bait and tackle shop handles ticket sales for the coarse lakes, while the Diary and Bookings system manages specimen lake bookings. Beginners can receive assistance, making it easier to start or improve their fishing experience.
