Burnt Wood offers a unique fishing spot in the heart of Kent's Weald. Owned by the Cranbrook & District Angling Club, this 1.5-acre lake is surrounded by lovely trees and comfortable bankside areas. The shallow bay and overhanging branches create natural spots perfect for those who enjoy close-in action.

Fishing Opportunities

Here, anglers can find a healthy mix of carp, some reaching up to 38 lb, alongside specimen bream, roach, rudd, perch, and even the occasional pike up to 30 lb. For those who appreciate a good challenge, tench up to 13 lb add to the variety. Whether you're stalking quietly along the banks or casting from the shallow areas, there's plenty to keep you engaged.

Practical Information

Burnt Wood allows night fishing, which adds a different dimension to your angling experience. Parking is conveniently located just 30 yards from the shore, making it easy to set up your spot. Please note that only two rods can be used at a time, ensuring a pleasant environment for everyone. Club memberships are offered for those interested in more regular visits.
