Overview

Frogmore Fishery in Hertfordshire offers anglers a diverse coarse fishing experience near St. Albans. The fishery comprises three lakes, each home to a variety of species including carp, tench, roach, bream, rudd, chub, and perch. Recent construction work has been undertaken to manage water levels, ensuring a reliable fishing environment for visitors.

Lakes

The match pool is particularly popular in the summer, where anglers can expect to catch up to a dozen carp averaging around 5lb, with some impressive specimens reaching up to 19lb. Aside from carp, the pool also hosts rudd, roach, and perch, providing ample opportunities for a rewarding catch. Tony's Lake, reclaimed from a gravel pit in 2002, offers a different challenge with its uneven and snaggy bottom. Despite ongoing work, early stockings have introduced crucians, tench, and silver fish, adding variety for anglers. Meanwhile, the Car Park pool is ideal for younger anglers, featuring numerous small rudd and roach that promise plenty of bites.

Features

Frogmore Fishery provides convenient parking for all visitors, ensuring easy access to the lakes. Additionally, club memberships are available, offering anglers the chance to enjoy regular fishing sessions and stay connected with the fishing community. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just starting out, Frogmore Lake presents a welcoming spot to enjoy a day by the water.
