Brooke Lane Carthagena Fishery stands as one of Hertfordshire's oldest gravel pits, formerly known as Heartbreak Pit. Spanning approximately five acres, Brooke Lake offers a rich mix of reedy fringes, lily pads, gravel bars, and silt channels. With depths ranging from eight to thirteen feet, anglers will find a variety of spots to explore and enjoy.

This fishery is a haven for carp anglers, featuring carp up to 40 lb. Additionally, chub and tench thrive here, reaching weights of up to eight and twelve pounds respectively.
