Bowyer's Water
Bowyer's Water, the oldest gravel pit in Lee Valley Park, spans 35 acres of mature water. You'll find uncluttered banks ideal for casting, along with a limited number of swims for a peaceful fishing experience.
The landscape is dotted with gravel bars, plateaus, islands, and expansive beds of lily pads, offering varied environments for anglers.
The water is home to Specimen Carp, with some reaching up to 40lb. Most carp are over 30lb, including several cracking Commons. Other species include tench, bream, rudd, and pike, providing a diverse fishing opportunity for enthusiasts.
Bowyer's Water is particularly renowned for its attractive carp, making it a favourite spot for anglers seeking large specimens. The combination of diverse features like gravel bars and lily pad beds creates an engaging fishing environment, allowing for different strategies and techniques.
